The low-profile, aluminum-constructed Cold Shoe Extension Plate for Sony a7 III and a7R III Cameras from SmallRig is specifically designed to offset the cold shoe to the left side of the camera. This enables photo or video accessories to stay out of the way of the camera's tilting LCD screen. The plate mounts to the hot shoe and to the strap lug on the left. Two rubber pads under the plate prevent the plate from scratching or scuffing the camera's finish. Because it mounts to the strap lug, the plate provides a strap slot for a hand or shoulder strap.
